Maps also work with http://www.demobase..../ctf_update.pk3 which is only like ~370mb. Has all gold maps, textures etc also makes it work with Sof2demo.

Don't get me wrong...but after thinking for a bit, i guess we don't need 100 maps for a server to play. Some might be fun to play, but it gets boring after a while.

It must be some good maps that allows players to have some mixwars onde in a while, and i think the default maps are good to play with.

Imo, shop2, jor1, kam2, kam3, kam4, finca are good to play with. Also we can find the converted cs maps very amusing.

I found indiana jones, simpsons, bigfreakinghouse good maps to play and have fun...but they aren't ideal to make mixwars and such, and after a while they get boring..lol

by the way im downloading its not 370mb now is 451mb.. probably xillax is updating like i did?
all important files to run maps that i tested is more than 800mb but it works for all maps not only for gold maps maybe is why the file is so small maybe got the necessary textures for gold maps.
*i checked now i think i got 1 unecessary file wich is textures1234.pk3 from full. at least didnt missed texures in some maps that i checked.
ok without that file is now 654mb in total
and doesnt need that djminifix

Prague is fun too, raven is fun too (if to ever play inf)....Then Shop69, Kam69 - both great tactical CTF maps (played them A LOT when NTG had the old CTF).
Basically i think what we could use is the default full and gold maps in the cycle and then add some of the better CS remakes, swimminpool, bigfreakinhouse, shop69, kam69....

And then we can start doing community votes further on if people want a new map or something.
Just get the CTF serv rolling! No need for private serv in TDM as no-one's ever in it! Let's CTF THIS UP YAAA MONNN!!!

Yes i just mentioned those that i remembered...lol

prague is great also...and there's some maps we can use to tactical purposes...but swimminpoll and bigfreakinhouse are the ones that are funny, but imo get boring easily..lol

Also big maps get people bored easily, cause u walk more than u shoot...lol

Seems like a good compromise.

Anyway i find Finca pretty bad for CTF. It's awesome in INF but in CTF it doesn't really work IMO... :S

Can i make a small sugestion?

Don't stick with 1000 maps to play per week. I think 20 to 30 are good.

The server must be configured also with the map rotation cfg. Now imagine making a 200 map rotation per week.

I would only play for example, jor1 once every 3 weeks...lol


This really needs a poll to find out which maps or how many maps people here want to play per week.

Ok Vega you put a poll on the maps i will type here in a bit I'll only do 25 maps which are most played and asked for when me and LSK & some other boys were testing last week.

yeah could be .. i didnt checked this 'best of ctf' map pack yet ill check it tonight
and yeah should be 25 maps in maximum during the week and for sunday the fun maps to be diferent and of course a configured cfg
im just uploading maps to see wich are the best for run in server.
probably we will need some pool's
